FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze at an interior design workshop in Basford.
The fire had broken out at just before 2.30pm after sawdust became trapped in a dust extraction fan at T&T Designed Interiors, a furniture makers on Southwark Street.
Two crews from Stockhill and one from Arnold attended to extinguish the blaze.
Watch manager at Stockhill fire station, Tim Marstons, said: "Fortunately, due to the quick action of the staff and the quick response from the fire service, the damage was minimal.
"The staff had got themselves out of danger before firefighters arrived.
"A small amount of smoke had transferred to an office block next door, so the firefighters also dealt with that."
No one was injured in the incident.
