NOTTINGHAM Forest forward Jamie Mackie has completed his loan move to Reading.
The 28-year-old winger or striker will spend the season with the Royals.
He follows Simon Cox who yesterday moved from the City Ground to Berkshire on a permanent basis.
And Mackie believes he can help a young squad to grow at the Madejski.
"Speaking to the manager, I know this club have a lot of really good, young players breaking through into the first team and it feels great to be part of that," he said.
"If myself and Coxy can add a bit of guile and experience to the group then that will be important this season."
Mackie, who has previously played for Plymouth Argyle and QPR, was a regular in the Reds side last season.
Mackie made 38 starts and seven sub appearances in the league, scoring five goals.
But he was not in manager Stuart Pearce's first team plans.
Reading boss Nigel Adkins does expect him to feature heavily for them, however.
"He is a good age, works so hard for the team and I'm delighted to get this loan deal across the line," he said.
"Both players will provide a positivity, a hunger and a desire to work hard."
In the meantime, Nottingham Forest have confirmed their squad numbers for the coming campaign:
