NOTTS County striker Shaun Harrad has had his contract extended by the Meadow Lane club.
The 29-year-old, who has scored twice this season, was due to see his deal run out in January, but he has now put pen to paper on a deal until the end of the campaign.
The Nottingham-born forward, who started his career with the Magpies in 2002 and played at Alfreton Town last season, has impressed this season with his work-rate and determination.
Ahead of tonight's game at Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup, Harrad said: "I'm obviously delighted. It's great that it's sorted and my immediate future is secure, I just want to push on now and keep doing what we are doing and that's winning games.
"And hopefully forcing myself back in the side, which is proving difficult with Garry Thompson in such great form.
"It's exciting times to be part of it. The manager and everyone here have been so supportive to me and I'm really enjoying my football again.
"If the gaffer needs me from the start or towards the end, then I will put a shift in and always give 100 per cent. There's certainly exciting times ahead."
