FORMER Notts County striker Delroy Facey has denied being part of a match-fixing ring. Facey pleaded not guilty to a charge of conspiracy to commit bribery at Birmingham Crown Court during a short hearing on Monday. The former Bolton front man is alleged to have committed the offence by offering financial advantage to others, including professional footballers if they played improperly, in November 2013. The much traveled ex-Magpie was bailed to appear for trial at the same court on April 13 next year. The 34-year-old, of Huddersfield, spoke only to enter his not guilty plea in front of the judge. Officers from the National Crime Agency charged Facey in September. He played 71 games for Notts between 2008 and 2010, scoring 12 goals.
