University is creeping up on me quickly, and trying to get everything I need together is a challenge.
I only have a couple of weeks left at home and as I won't have enough room and storage to take everything with me, I am finding myself having to really think about the necessary items to take.
As the living expenses and the course fees once I get to university will be a lot, I am trying to save as much money as I can now. I have been trying to get the best of what I can on a small budget.
One item I am extremely lucky to take with me is my BassBuds Speaker. This was one of the prizes awarded to me for coming fourth in the Miss England competition.
It is great for university as I won't have much space in my room for a big sound system, but I'd feel lost if I wasn't able to listen to my music whilst in my room.On the educational side I have all of my folders and notepads ready to go for my first lecture.
At first, I had no idea what I would need to take with me so I decided to Google what I would need. I've found some great lists and recommendations from other students this way.
I still have a lot to do to prepare for university but I have found that social media has been a great help.
There are groups set up on Facebook where you can ask any question and get an answer instantly. This has also enabled me to find some of the people I will be living with for the first year.
I will be staying in halls for the first year and I'm really looking forward to it.
There's only two weeks left until I leave for university. Next week I am off to Harrogate as I am modelling in the British Bridal fair.
I will be staying away on my own so that will be my first taster of what living alone will be like. So at the minute, I am trying to pack and get ready for both occasions.
