MANSFIELD'S Ollie Hynd bagged his second gold medal of the IPC Swimming European Championships, retaining his SM8 200 metres Individual Medley title.
The Paraswimmer had finished top of the podium in the S8 400m Freestyle 24 hours earlier, after starting the tournament with fourth place in the 100m Backstroke.
But there was no stopping Hynd in his favoured event.
The 19-year-old was crowned Commonwealth champion in the 200m IM at the Glasgow Games just over a week ago, in a time of 2.22.86.
His 2.25.22 in Eindhoven left him 'disappointed', but Hynd still finished clear of the rest of the field, having taken the lead at the halfway point of the race.
"It was a tough race," he said. "I wanted to try to take it out hard in the front end and bring it back in the final 100m, which I am usually really good at.
"I was able to do that but I am disappointed with the time but it is about getting your hand on the wall first."
