SCULPTURES by the internationally-renowned artist Stephen Rautenbach have gone up for sale in the city.
It is the first time the artist's work has been available outside his native South Africa.
The 38-year-old is famed for creating bronze animal sculptures, and a selection of his work is now on display at George Thornton Art in the Flying Horse Walk, Nottingham.
George Thornton said: "We are thrilled to be able to put the work of such a fantastic sculptor up for sale for the first time outside South Africa. Stephen is an incredible talent and produces wonderful works – a selection of which we have on display in the gallery.
"His work perfectly encapsulates the refined and sometimes savage beauty of nature, and each piece has such a realistic quality that it feels like an animal in its own right.
"Stephen works exclusively in bronze and his work has intricate detail and a mindblowing textural integrity."
Pieces on display currently include Fish Eagle – an intricate depiction of a hunting eagle, and Octopus, which features incredible attention to detail including individually handcrafted tentacles.
