FOOTIE-fans will be able to take part in live televised debates as part of Notts TV's sport coverage.
Covering Forest, County and Mansfield Town, The Boot Room - the channel's first football show - aims to put the supporters in the driving seat of club coverage when the channel launches on May 27.
Fans will be able to call into the show and have their voice heard over all the highs and lows on the pitch.
The Boot Room will be the first of several sports shows on Notts TV, with plans for in-depth coverage of Nottingham Panthers and Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club in the future as well.
Starting with a full season review, with World Cup coverage during the summer, before getting into full swing in August as the new season begins with Monday and Friday broadcasts.
The show will be presented by sports journalist Mark Webster, who recorded a pilot earlier this year alongside sports pundit John Thompson.
Show producer Jonny Owen, a former ITV Wales & West sports presenter, said Nottingham was a great city for sport and was looking forward to some lively debate.
He said: "As well as the phone-in there will hopefully be some opportunities to get some really good ex-players and ex-managers on too.
"With something like Sky Sports News, what they do is fantastic but they look at top Premiership teams, we'll be able to have a talk about Mansfield Town, County and Forest.
"We're going to do as much as local stuff as we possibly can."
Jonny's background in television includes a 10 year career at ITV in Wales where for three he was the face of ITV Wales' Soccer Sunday.
More recently, he wrote and starred in full-length feature film Svengali alongside partner and actress Vicky McClure whom he has now moved to Nottingham with.
An ardent Cardiff City fan, Jonny insisted his allegiance wouldn't get in the way of what ended up on the show.
He added: "I think it's a benefit for me because they know I won't be biased.
"We've got to be working with the clubs, you don't go in there with a hard attitude, we want the clubs to do well.
"The better they do, the better we do."
From Tuesday 27 May 2014, residents of Nottingham will be able to tune into Notts TV on Freeview Channel 8.
