THE M1 is now clear following an earlier five-car crash between junctions 25 and 26.
The Highways Agency tweeted at 10.45am that the motorway had been cleared after one lane was closed southbound following the incident.
Three people were rushed to hospital and one person is understood to have been cut from a car suffering from neck injuries. It is not thought any of the injuries are life-threatening.
The crash happened around one mile from the Trowell services.
