Notts County have appointed Mick Halsall as their new Head of Academy Coaching.
The former Peterborough player is highly-rated as a coach and is renowned for his work in youth development.
Halsall held a similar role at Walsall where he guided players such as Scott Dann, Troy Deeney and Matty Fryatt into the first team.
He then left for Championship Wolves in 2009.
The 53-year-old took his second training session with the U18 squad on Friday and will get to see the youth team in action for the first time tomorrow.
They host Doncaster Rovers at Arnold Town's Eagle Valley ground. Kick-off is at 11am.
