Six things to do in Nottingham tonight

1. The Modernists: A Nottingham band who mix the sounds of Dick Dale and Santana with The Girl From Ipanema return to Cast at the Nottingham Playhouse from 8pm as part of the bar's regular Music Mondays free event, from 8pm.

2. Jerusalem: A comic, contemporary vision of rural life will be performed at the Lace Market Theatre all this week, starting tonight at 7.30pm. It was written by Jez Butterworth, who is behind the hit West End musical Matilda.

3. Boyhood: This unique and innovative drama filmed over 12 years by Richard Linklater follows one boy's journey through adolescence. While his divorced parents cope with parenting. At: Broadway, Cineworld and Showcase.

4. Tea, Cake and Letter Writing: Campaign group Frack Free Nottinghamshire will be at Fade (And The Hard To Find Cafe) in North Sherwood Street from 5pm, writing to organisations and building support.

5. Supermensch: The Legend Of Shep Gordon (15): Austin Powers actor Mike Myers pays tribute to the consummate Hollywood insider and entertainment industry legend in his directorial debut. At Broadway, from 5pm.

6. The Linden Method: The Chicago pop punk band line-up at The Maze at the Forest Tavern in Mansfield Road from 7pm, supported by Rumours, No Need For Parachutes and Burn The Hero. Sounds like a noisy way to start the week. £5.
