Nathan, 20, is from Mansfield and lost his sight in February.
Q You're going to be running the 2015 London Marathon. What inspired you to sign up for the event?
A I'm running it on behalf of Guide Dogs as they had a few spaces available. Since I lost my sight completely, I've wanted to put myself into challenges that I've never experienced before to prove I can still take part in certain activities.
Q You were chosen as the face of Guide Dogs Week 2014. How did you feel when this happened?
A When Hudson, my guide dog, and I were chosen a couple of months ago I was speechless. It's such a massive honour. I feel really privileged as I know so many deserving others.
Q Speaking of Hudson, how are you getting on with him?
A I qualified for him in October 2013 and back then, I still had a little bit of sight. It's useful to have him in a mobility sense but the part that people overlook is how he's helped me emotionally. He became my best friend as he was there when times were tough.
Q You've achieved so much so young. Do you have further plans?
A I'm never going to stop. My biggest aim is to help others in a similar position to myself.
