Edwalton: A shoplifter has been ordered to pay £155.84 after stealing over £50 of batteries. Robert Johnson, 25, of Woodview, , stole batteries from One Stop, in West Bridgford, on January 27. He pleaded guilty at Nottingham Magistrates' Court and was ordered to pay compensation of £55.84, a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 costs. He was also discharged conditionally for six months.

Ruddington: Burglars entered a house in Easthorpe Street, stole keys to a car and then took a Blue Vauxhall Vectra from outside the property. The burglary took place between 10.30pm on Thursday and 8.30am yesterday. The house was entered through an unlocked front door.
