Edwalton: A shoplifter has been ordered to pay £155.84 after stealing over £50 of batteries. Robert Johnson, 25, of Woodview, , stole batteries from One Stop, in West Bridgford, on January 27. He pleaded guilty at Nottingham Magistrates' Court and was ordered to pay compensation of £55.84, a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 costs. He was also discharged conditionally for six months.

Kimberley: Crooks attempted to prise open a caravan door in an attempted burglary in Valley Road between 1.45pm on Thursday, June 26, and 4pm on Thursday, July 10. If you have any information about this incident, call police on 101 and quote incident number 500-10072014

Ruddington: Burglars entered a house in Easthorpe Street, stole keys to a car and then took a Blue Vauxhall Vectra from outside the property. The burglary took place between 10.30pm on Thursday and 8.30am yesterday. The house was entered through an unlocked front door. If you have any information about the incident or you spot the Vauxhall Vectra, with registration R759BBH, contact Police on 101.

West Bridgford: Burglars entered a shed in Patrick Road and stole a black Carrera mountain bike. The burglary took place between Saturday, July 5, and Wednesday, July 9. Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101 and quote 000831-09072014.

Hyson Green: Police are appealing for witnesses after an 84-year-old was robbed of her purse in Hyson Green. The robbery took place on Thursday in Forest Road at about 12.40pm. Call police on 101 if you can help trace the culprit.
