BLAIR Adams revealed his sadness at having to leave Coventry City but said he is excited by the challenge facing him at Notts County.
The left-back became the latest addition to Shaun Derry's squad today following his departure from the Sky Blues and has signed a two-year deal at Meadow Lane.
The 22-year-old's departure from Coventry was a surprise to some fans after impressing under boss Steven Pressley.
But the Sky Blues chief wants to change his tactics next season after their League One promotion bid faltered last term with Adams one of the casualties.
Adams said there are no hard feeling about his exit and now cannot wait to get started at Meadow Lane.
"I had a great relationship with the manager at Coventry," he said.
"I loved it there. I had a good year and a half and it's just one of those things.
"The manager wanted to change his tactics so there were no hard feelings.
"I was sad to go but there are always new challenges to take on. I am delighted to be here and can't wait to get going."
