A further suspect has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of Bogdan Nawrocki.
The 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder in the early hours of Friday morning.
He remains in police custody pending further investigation work.
Polish born Bogdan was last seen in Radford on Sunday, January 5.
Despite a large scale search operation and numerous media appeals the 22-year-old has not been seen since.
Intensive searches have been taking place across the last months to find Bogdan's body, including a search of a factory in Radford earlier this week.
In April the force charged a 37-year-old with his murder. Three others remain on bail pending further enquiries.
Bogdan's family have been updated with developments and are continuing to be supported by the force.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for anyone with information to get in touch via 0115 8446913 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. A dedicated line manned by Polish-speaking officers has also been set up on 07785 573415.
